The Things We Do For Our Children

I had to go to the distribution center today. And it is near the Mesa Temple. I had my 4 year old dd with me, and she asked me if we could drive around the block so she could see all sides of the beautiful Temple. I thought it was a great idea, until she said that she wanted to go around 3 times. I just had to laugh as we drove around again and again and again. After the 3rd time she said, "okay Mom that is enough, we can go to the mall now". Only a Mom would drive around the same block 3 times.

$21.50 for an ice-cream cone at Dairy Queen. That is how much it cost for Tyler to have a treat. My son serving in Maryland as a missionary for our church used his debit card at Dairy Queen. Today I got a notice in the mail that his account was over-drawn and they charged me $19.00. I just had to smile at the over inflated ice-cream treat he enjoyed. I decided that only a Mom would be able to smile about that, and not get upset.

Mom...It is 10:00pm and I need a report cover for my homework that is due tomorrow. How come the kids never ask Dad to run to the store this time of night? I'll tell you why? Because Dad's are smart enough to say "no way, are you nuts?" My son knows that I am the softie, and would do just about anything for him.

I know all Moms have similar lists...I could go on and on, but I won't.(lucky you)

I can't complain though-- I have the best job in the world!
And 5 amazing children that call me Mom.

That's right. These are things only a mom would do. I don't think there's much I wouldn't do for mine either.

You have the best attitude. I would probably be grumbling, but you are looking at things with a smile. You are a great example to me.
