Little Bit Of This And That

We had a fun Labor day week-end. Saturday we went to Montazumas castle and saw the indians ruins, and then on Sunday after church we went to Safford/Pima area of AZ and spent the night there. The next morning we got up and drove to New Mexico and went hiking at the "Cat Walk", in the White mountains. It was Beautiful! I'll try to get some pictures up.

Coleman turned 8 on Labor day. He had his first Cub Scout Activity and made a bird house. He is pretty excited about being 8 and getting baptized too.

I don't know what I am thinking, but I got a job. I am going to be working at the elementary school that my kids go to. I will be a Aide and will work 6 hours a day. It is the perfect gig, I will work the same hours the kids are in school, and get the same days off as them. I just have to try and get done all of the things that I use to do while they were all at school. Alyson started all day kindergarten this morning...And has a new teacher now. It was a bit sad for both of us. I just don't want to rush her out the door into this big old world. But she LOVES school and I am sure will do great. As soon as my background check comes back, I will start. I was told I would start today, but found out otherwise. Now I have a week or so to get my act together. (HA)

Jim got a new calling yesterday... I better not say yet what it is, since the person whose place he is taking has not been told yet. But I realized that after his calling as Bishop, nothing else seems as scary. Although just knowing the stake president wants to meet with you is nerve racking.

I am not so patiently waiting for the results of Tyler's CT scan. I hope the doctor will call me soon. You wouldn't believe the red tape I had to go through just to make it legal for the doctor to share with me my own sons results. It is crazy. I gave birth to the boy, you'd think it would be okay to fill me in on his doctors visit. Geesh!

Victoria and Coleman both started soccer practice. I am not sure how I am going to be at two different places at the same time. Should be fun.

Dallas turns 15 today! Happy Birthday Buddy!
He also got a job, he is now a smoothie maker. Hope he shares the secret recipes with me. One more place for me to taxi him. I think there is a reason most people wait until they are 16 to work...They can drive themselves.

There is my little update...

Well---I'll have to try again with the pictures. Blogger is being a bugger, at least it let me post one. But none of the others. GRRRR!

Yikes on the CT Scan! How did I miss all that?
And I wouldn't plan on actually starting this new job anytime soon. A background check on you? Come on. You really think you're going to pass? They must not know much about you.

I want to have your job when my kids are in school. I think I'd be so lonely when they are gone, and yet the freedom would be great! AHHH, I don't even want to think that far ahead.

I live just an hour from Catwalk, and it is one of my all time favorite family hikes.

Went to EAC, so I consider Thatcher (Pima, Safford) some of my old stomping grounds.

I am glad you had such a good long weekend.

It was fun to find your blog.
