Stop The World... I Want To Get Off!!

I remember my Mom making that statement often when I was a child. I think it is a line from a song or a movie. Or maybe she is just really clever and came up with it on her own.

At any rate...it was usually said when she was overwhelmed and needing a break from life. I can only imagine that she felt this way often being the mother to 12 children.

I am feeling this way at the moment. I am overwhelmed, stressed, and spread a little thin at the moment. (if only that wasn't a figure of speech)

I am so done with work...I can't take another little child tapping me on the arm saying "Miss Jane, I need help." I enjoy my job, really I do. I am just on kid burnout at the moment.

I miss my children, and seeing my husband. We have way too many meetings and responsibilities for one family.

I had 9 extra people and 3 dogs, and 2 chinchillas stay at my house for 3 days....Some friends of ours just moved to AZ and when they got here the house they were moving into fell through. We helped them out as best we could by letting them stay here while they found a place. It was chaos.

My mountain of laundry just keeps getting taller and taller. The dust bunnies are about to hop away they are so big. The piles, and piles of paper clutter is about to swallow me up.

The light at the end of the tunnel?
There is only 14 more school days that I have to work.
After that I will have all summer to organize, clean, and relax.

I can't wait!!

Seriously crazy!! You're a good friend to let them crash with you. Laundry is my least favorite thing ever. I'm doing mountains of it today... if I ever get off the computer.
