I could use some advice

How do you stay positive when many around you are negative?

How do you deal with stress when the last straw was placed on the camels back a few straws ago?

How do you dig out when you are in that "place"?

What is it that you do when you feel like you can't continue, but have no energy or strength to change the course you are on?

In case you couldn't tell I am feel a bit overwhelmed with all that is on my plate right now.
I would love to hear the things you do when you are feeling this way.

Well, first I have a big ole sobfest on my husband's shoulder. When his shirt is soaked through, I go to bed (these sobfests always happen at night). In the morning, my swollen eyes remind me that I had a sobfest!

Next I practice a lot of "fake it till you make it" while I research, ponder, think and pray endlessly. There are always solutions to every problem, I just have to find them. And until I can find them, I plug along the very best I can.

I'm also learning to ask others for help -- not just physical help but ideas or spiritual guidance. Kind of like you did here, except you didn't give details.

(((HUGS))) You'll get through all this; you're very capable, you have a great family to support you and I can't imagine anything defeating you.

Cyl's got some great advice.
I do the sobfest as well, but usually solo in my dark room whilst dh is in the living room, clueless. I also try to talk to others that I think might be able to help me w/their own personal experiences. I then call Char (if I havne't already) and wait for her to give me awesome advice. I'm pretty sure I eat plenty of cookies during this whole process as well. If you're willing to share more specifics, I'd love to try to help you. HUGS!

eat a tub of ice cream, take a shower and cry till there are no more tears. Then I pray for some guidance on what to let go of (there is always at least one thing I can let go of and not feel guilty about). And then I just make a list and tackle one thing at a time in order of deadlines/priority. ((HUGS))

My offering would be this... know that despite your difficulties, there is a teacher who is humbled and grateful for your gift this week (you know that was a stamp on my heart...right?!?), that you took the time, money and effort to treat our class with such a great snack, and you did this without any trace of anything being 'too much on your plate'!! I am sorry that things are stressful...I really am. And I don't have a really good answer for the cure. I liked the advice your friends have given ... ask for help, have a good cry, simplify. Jane, I guess I can offer this.... During the last 3 years I have had to live through some situations and times that truly, had I known what lay ahead of me, I would not have had the courage to do what I had to do. There were times when it was so dark in my day...the future promised nothing... but heartache, stress, fear and desperation. I had days when I had to take them one minute at a time. Two things got me through those times... 1. Faith in God and knowing that He was looking over me and going to get me through this, even when I didn't know how He could...and
2. My friends. They carried me, my hope, and my spirit when I was too weary to do it for myself. There are times now when I think back to what my situation was just a couple of years ago...and I almost shake my head in true disbelief. The beauty of this is that I can look back on it, because I am past it. I made it. I made it. The bad times passed... and yours will too, dear friend. Let me know what I can do to help.

I am so very sorry you are feeling so overwhelmed! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know what I can do to help lighten that burden a little! I am so sorry! I know this pain.
I live it regularly, but also recognize that if I were idle, I'd be MORE miserable!
I start to tackle my life moment by moment, knowing that I can only do what I can only do. And then I decide to feel good about this, instead of feeling bad about something else.
You're trying your hardest!
That's all you can do.
Give yourself a pat on the back and look to the next minute, not the next hour, day, week or month.
Small bites! (and chocolate in between)
May this feeling pass quickly!
