And, After. It is now barn red. It goes nicely with the "warm muffin" yellow walls.
Before...this is the lovely indoor/outdoor carpet that use to be in the kitchen. Who puts carpet in the kitchen anyway? 
After... the lovely travertine that Jim installed. It looks so nice! And mops up so easily. I love it!
