My son Dallas had to write a paper for English, listing 25 VIP's in his life. I thought it was cute, and thought you might get a kick out of it.

25 VIPs!

1-My Bishop: He teaches me what I need to know every Sunday.
2-My Librarian: She helps me pick out a book to read.
3-My Teachers: they teach me what I need to know.
4-My Young Mens leader: He helps me with different skills.
5-The pool guy at my house: he cleans my pool so I don't have to.
6-The guy at the climbing gym: he always made me feel welcome.
7-My scout leader: he always made me feel like I was his favorite scout.
8-My drama teacher in Utah: she taught me how to act.
9-The officer at our school: he keeps us safe.
10-My neighbor: he took my family out to dinner the first day I moved to Arizona.
11-The lunch lady: She always serves me food and has a good attitude.
12-The lady at 7/11: she always spots me a couple cents when I don't have it.
13-My choir teacher: who taught me to sing.
14-The men in the military that fight for our freedom.
15-Fire fighters: they risk their life everyday fighting fires and saving people.
16- Alex Rider: a character in a book that made like to read.
17-My uncleMarc: he always helps me with my computer when it breaks.
18-The person that invented video games; now kids have something to do that is fun.
19-Chap stick: It is not a person but I really think it is a VIP.
20-Kolby : he was my friend in Utah and we had really good times together.
21-Uncle Ben : he would always make me laugh and have a good time together.
22-Tyler : he would go hiking with me and be there for me.
23-Rambo: he made me think I could be like him.
24-Uncle Chris : he always told me good pranks to play on people.
25-Cavemen: they invented fire.

I thought I would give it a try and list 25 VIP's in my life too.

1- My Heavenly Father, He really does hear me.
2- My Elder Brother Jesus Christ, He makes it all possible. He gave me the greatest gift anyone could give.
3-My husband. I got lucky, there isn't anyone in the world that is a better match for me. And no one else would put up with me and all of my quirks.
4-My Parents. Dallas couldn't list parents and Grandparents on his list, but they are VIP to me. I have the best parents, that are always there for me.
5-My children. Each of them have taught me something new about myself. They love me no matter what, even when I am having bad mommy days
6-My sister. I only have one, and we live a million miles away from each other. But she has always been my best friend.
7-My brothers. I could use up the rest of my list naming all 10 of them. I really am so lucky to have 10 great men in my life that love me and care so much about me.
8-My friend Jan. Jan and I have been friends for more than 13 years now. She was the first person to introduce me to flowers. She helped me create my first flower garden and my love for digging in the dirt has grown since. She also taught me about herbs, and other natural methods of healing our bodies. She is my kindred spirit. And I miss her like crazy since we moved and don't live a few doors away from each other.
9-My friend Karin. Karin and her dh Gordon were friends with my dh long before I was in the picture. They knew each other in high school. In fact my dh dated Gordon's sister in high school. When I met Karin we became friends from that moment on. We helped each other through our adoption journeys. And many other things. She is such a great listener, even when I complain about the same things over and over. I miss Karin too.
10-My online friends. All of them have become VIP's to me. They walk with me on this Motherhood journey and keep me sane.
11-My Bishop. Even though he has only been my Bishop for 7 months now, he is such a great man. He cares about each of us, and the spirit he carries with him is such a blessing to our family.
12-Maryann. She is my RS president, and it is so nice to have a RS president that cares about me. The last couple I had were while my dh was Bishop, and they were always coming by or calling for him. It just feels good to have a RS president that is here for me.
13-My friend Penny. Penny and I met while we lived in Massachusetts. And then she moved to Arizona. And now here we are in Arizona. It has been so fun to get to know her again. She is also our realtor and a darn good one. She is the one who talked me into bowling on her league every week.
14-My Aunt Vickie. Growing up we didn't really live close by family. My Dad was from Idaho, and my Mom was from Washington. And we lived in Utah. So, I never was that close to Aunts and Uncles and cousins. But somehow along the way my Auntie Vickie has become so dear to me. She is so amazing, and would do anything for me. We took our missionaries to the MTC the very same day. And then I spent the next few days at her house bawling my eyes out with her. She is such a huge support to me.
15-The person that invented the internet. Wow, what did we ever do without it. Getting those weekly emails from my son is by far the highlight of my week. And the friends I have made, and the ability to stay in touch with family and friends is such a blessing.
16-Gordon B Hinckly. Definitely a VIP in my life. The example he is to me, and the spirit he manifests is just so wonderful. He is the ultimate role model of enduring to the end. He is still going strong at 95 years old.
17-My Paternal Grandma. She died when I was 10 years old. But I have always felt a bond with her. I know she watches over me and my family. I feel her with me at times. I cherish the few memories I have of her.
18-My Maternal Grandma. What an amazing women of courage she was. Her and my Grandpa were married for over 60 years. They loved each other so much, and as she was dyeing, my Grandpa asked her to wait for him. It was so touching.
19-Janette and Tony. Do you ever meet someone and feel like you have been friends forever? That is how it is with them. We just met them when we moved here to Arizona, but they are VIP's in our life. We just have so much fun with them.
20-My inlaws. I have a wonderful Mother and Father in law. They support us in all that we do. And they have been great examples to us too.
21- I mentioned my 10 brothers, but forgot to add that each of them have a wonderful wife who has become my sister. I am lucky to have such wonderful sister in laws. And my dh's 3 sisters are wonderful too.
22-I also have some pretty great brother in laws too. I only have my sisters dh, but my dh has 4 brothers, and his sisters dh. It's great to have so many brothers. I think I might even be up for some award for having so many. :P
23-My friend Char. Even though we met online, she has become a great friend to me. She has always been such a great example to me. She would do anything for anyone if she knew they needed help. She puts others needs above her own. One thing that she said once was this, when asked why she serves others so willingly. "I do it because I love Heavenly Father" I have been blessed to be a recipient of her service.
24-Baltimore Maryland mission president and his wife. They are the ones looking over my son while we are apart.
25-Joan Erickson. I have never met anyone that is so Christ like she is. She has played an important role in my life. And I am sure she doesn't even realize it. She has helped me through some challenges in my life. And I will forever be grateful to her.

Who are your VIP's? If you've read my list, I challenge you to make your own list. It is so nice to reflect on those that touch our lives.

Those are great lists. I like your son listing the 7-11 lady. That's cute!

I'll have to think about my list. I'm sure I can come up with 25, though. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)

This is wonderful. I think it is so good for us to reflect the gratitude we feel for those who have shaped our lives. This was really inspiring.

What great lists! Chap Stick? Too funny. What a great activity to get kids (and us) to think about who we should be grateful to. I need to try this soon, too.
